Limited Edition

1 John 4:7-13
Andrea had a roommate her senior year of college to whom she is forever grateful. One spring morning, she opened the door of their mini-fridge and offered Andrea an egg covered in golden foil. Beneath the foil was a beautiful milk chocolate egg with an abundant, luscious, creamy caramel center. There was only one thing wrong with this beautiful, heaven-sent confection: It was only available seasonally. There are other milk chocolate caramel-filled joys in this world, but to Andrea, there’s something special about this particular limited-edition treat.
So many things come and go in this life. Some come for a season and then leave until the following year. Others come for a once-in-a-lifetime appearance. There is one treat, however, that never goes out of style—the sweet love of God. There is nothing seasonal about God’s love. It isn’t a “limited edition” or a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
As Christ-followers, we are called to share God’s love often. Go share God’s love today!
