1 John 3:1-10
Separation anxiety is real. Ask any parent or teacher of young children and they will affirm that leaving tiny humans with a caregiver can be a bit of a challenge at times. Teachers are sometimes required to use the bandage approach and gently take the child from their loved one. Parents and teachers alike know that the tears will soon fade; in a few moments, most children will be busy having fun with their peers.
We serve a big God who acknowledges all of our complex feelings and emotions. He knows just what we need to make it through anxiety-filled situations. He knows what brings us happiness; He knows our fears. God knows us because we are His. Humanity exists because God wants us to exist and to have relationship with Him, both in this life and the next. He never misses an opportunity to lavish His love upon us.
Today, consider purposefully looking for the ways God shows His love for you. Thank Him for His goodness and His love.
