Be Strong In Grace

2 Timothy 2:1-7
Be strong. Usually when this is said, it is an encouragement to not give up, whether you are lifting a huge amount of weight or remaining steadfast in a storm, temptation, or difficulty. However, the command to be strong indicates that the strength comes from within the individual.
Yet human strength runs out.
Be strong in grace that is in Christ Jesus. This strength will never run out. This strength allows for more than teeth-shut-tight, trying to not give up or give in. This strength looks like new mercies every morning, a shared yoke for the required work, and peace in the midst of troubled times.
Joshua 1:9 tells us: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Today, walk in His strength and grace with courage because He is with you.
