Perfect Unity

1 Corinthians 1:1-10
Perfectly united in mind and in thought. I love my spouse very much, and we agree on many things. However, we are not perfectly united in mind and in thought on everything. At the end of the day, we do not let what we disagree on divide us. We are working together toward a common goal; we have each committed to that goal.
In looking at 1 Corinthians 1, you will see that Paul is talking to believers in Corinth who have been sanctified. They are committed believers working toward a common goal of sharing the good news of the gospel. Prior to verse 10, Paul was encouraging them and reminding them of the gifts and graces they had been given through Christ. Paul was encouraging them to be united in word, mind, and thought in their pursuit of the goal before them.
Just like the church in Corinth, we are working toward a common goal of sharing the good news of the gospel. Let us work to be united in word, mind, and thought with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
