2 Corinthians 3:7-18

Someone somewhere needs to slowly say the following words out loud, over and over: “This too shall pass.” It might be you, someone you know, or someone you have yet to encounter. That person needs to be given the gift of hope that is contained in those four, simple words: “This too shall pass.”

You see, whatever trial or tribulation you or a fellow human are enduring, it’s not forever. There is nothing earthly that will remain in eternity. The pain is only here for a season. Moreover, God can use this pain to transform you into His likeness for His glory.

Is it you who needs to breathe deeply and repeat those soothing words? If so, take time right now to savor each word as it slips off your tongue. Say it until you believe it. If it’s not, consider asking God to show you who might need a shoulder to cry on. Allow God to use your voice to soothe their soul.
