Rejoice—We Have The Holy Spirit

John 20:19-29
Connecting the peace of God, the breath of God, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, anchors this triad in the deepest experiences of the Christ-follower. While we may typically think of the workings of the Holy Spirit taking place within the subterranean levels of one’s life, in truth, the Spirit works most closely with us much like the way we breathe unconsciously moment by moment.
What enters your life, impacts your experience. The soul-scuffing abrasion of a culture in which God too often is relegated to the sidelines can leave its mark. On the other hand, the Spirit of God works quietly, methodically, and extensively as we engage the rhythms of breathing.
Jesus silenced the words of the disciples, even the explosive cadences of their joy in seeing Him in His post-resurrection appearance to them. He simply breathed on them; peace, the impartation of the Holy Spirit, and the unbreakable, eternal bond of communion with them.
Listen! He is near, breathing His Spirit upon you this day.
