After You, Please

Have you ever been involved in organized sports? How about your school drama team, debate team, choir? If you’ve ever participated in a group setting, then you’ve experienced firsthand what it’s like to work with others.

One of the first things you will discover is: it’s not all about you. Participating as a team member requires mental training, altering our behavior in consideration of others, willingness to lay aside your vision or your plan. Team members must stop thinking as individuals and start thinking as a collective assembly. It is a challenge to include others when you feel positive you can execute the plan better than anyone else involved. It is tempting to think it would be much easier to do the task yourself. This kind of thinking is where we get ourselves into trouble.

Jesus emphasized the need to place others before ourselves. To serve instead of looking for ways to be served. We must work together to achieve the goal.

This article is what it is all about. As Christians, this should
come naturally after walking and talking to the Lord. Jesus
went about “doing good” all of the time. We read that in the
    Bible. Thank you.
