Identité avec le Christ

Philippians 2:5-11.
When I think of how Jesus left the splendor of heaven, putting on flesh and blood, stepping into time and space, becoming dirty and hungry and thirsty and tired and all the human things . . . honestly, I’m overwhelmed. I know when heaven comes for me, I’ll never want to leave.
Yet Jesus left it willingly. His desire to do His Father’s will was so intense that He gave up His divine privilege . . . took the humble position of a slave . . . and died a criminal’s death on the cross (vv. 7-8).
Paul calls us to have the same mindset as Christ (v. 5). That doesn’t mean being a nice guy or a kind person. It’s wanting God’s will more than anything else.
Let’s call it Christ-minded. As you go into this day and encounter people and situations of all kinds, I invite you to consider: Am I Christ-minded? Am I willing to sacrifice my privilege? Am I able to be humble? Am I willing to follow Jesus, even to the death?
Let us pray today to have Christ-mindedness so that we can willingly seek the Father’s will above all else.
