Love And Freedom

Romans 1:8-15

Serving a God of grace does not mean that we have the freedom to sin, left and right, without caring because we know it will be forgiven. In fact, that is not real freedom at all; it is letting our sin dictate our lives. The freedom that we are given is to be able to form real connections and community with people, knowing them well and being able to serve them to the best of our ability.

As Christians, the core of everything we do should be love—love for God, and love for each other. What is the point of service if it is out of spite and not a genuine care for our fellow humans? Building a community and church that does not have love as a base invites discord and division, and people will start to turn on each other.

God has set us free from sin and death, and we are to use that freedom to care for one another so that the Lord is glorified. Fall into the freedom of God to love one another.
