Fine Print

April 8th, 2024

1 Corinthians 12:31b—13:7

If you’ve ever bought a house, leased a car, or even filed for a rebate after a purchase, then you’ve encountered the legendary fine print: the famous list of stipulations and exceptions that one must agree to in order to acquire the item in question.

Some are led to believe that God’s love comes with fine print. They mistakenly think there are stipulations attached to the Father’s love. Even as a long-time Christ-follower, it can be easy to get caught up in that lie. The enemy still tries to convince us that we aren’t good enough, or that we should have done more in order to rest in the arms of God.

Someone somewhere needs reminding that the cross was enough and that the blood of Christ has purchased their pardon, thus granting them access to God’s eternal love. Perhaps it’s you. Perhaps it’s someone you’ll encounter in the near future.

Consider this a fresh reminder that God’s love doesn’t come with fine print attached. Ask God to help you spread the good news of God’s unconditional love.
