Hope Booster

Hebrews 4:12-16
We have heard a great deal in the past few years about booster injections. We are advised to get the latest booster shot to ease our symptoms should we catch a virus. I see Hebrews 4 as a “hope booster” for all who trust in God. Who couldn’t use more hope?
As Christians we know that we have been injected with eternal hope, based on Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. Nevertheless, we daily face temptations and difficulties. Jesus’ victory over sin and death has opened heaven’s door to us. We discover that God’s throne is not simply a throne of justice but a throne of grace.
Grace is great! We receive help we never could have earned. We are encouraged to approach God’s throne with confidence. Weak and flawed though we may be, we are welcome. There is hope for help. God desires to meet our need and He has more resources than we can imagine. When we feel a spiritual “cold” coming on it would be good to seek out our “hope booster.”
