Passionate Prayer

Hebrews 5:1-10
Christ came to seek and to save His people from their sins. His supreme desire was to do the will of His Father. Passion and devotion inspired His praying and ministry. In the same way, our focus in prayer should be for the glory of God, the advancement of His kingdom, the salvation of sinners, and the entire sanctification of His people. When our prayers are passionate for the things that matter to the Lord, we can be certain that our prayers are heard and the answers received.
As we grow in grace and knowledge through careful study and meditation on the Scripture, the Spirit of Christ will increase our fervor and passion for the will of our Father. When we pray according to His will, the Holy Spirit empowers our praying. The fervent prayers of the saints have tremendous impact on the advancement of the kingdom.
Our lives can get so busy with good things that distract us from God’s best for us. He is calling us to set aside time to submit our hearts anew in prayer and fully surrender to the things that matter to Him.
