Praying With Boldness

Mark 14:43-50

Christ humbled himself and proved His obedience by His death on the cross. The secret to having the Holy Spirit’s power in prayer is to keep in step with the Spirit through surrender and obedience. Christ came to earth, lived, died and was raised from the dead in obedience to the will of His heavenly Father. The secret to Christ’s praying with bold and confident assurance in the garden was His trust in, and obedience to, the will of the Father.

The one who trusts and obeys will find the power in prayer to secure the answer needed. The Spirit of Christ gives us confidence, assurance, and boldness at the throne of God. The Holy Spirit guides our hearts in prayer to ask for the things that please the Lord. When we don’t know what to pray, He intercedes for our concerns with groans that words cannot express.

As we pray in humbleness, surrender, and trust, the Spirit moves us to rise up and walk courageously.
