Bearers of Peace

Hebrews 13:11-21
The task of being people of peace can seem really daunting. Peace is a big word and an even bigger concept, and in today’s world it can seem incredibly countercultural. How do we even know where to start? How do we know that we are doing it right? Is there even any way to do the work God wants us to do?
Thankfully, we are not thrown into the world to survive by our own wits. God promises that He will give us “everything good for doing his will,” which means that we do not have to rely on our own strength of character (v. 21). God is always doing something new in us and shaping us into the type of person He wants us to be.
We are equipped to be the bearers of good news. With His help, we are guided and directed into the work that God wants us to do: the work of peace and evangelism. We can rest assured that, as long as we are actively searching for His word, we are headed in the right direction.
