Trust and Faithfulness
May 18th, 2022
Acts 26:19-32
When we first started planting a church, people thought we were out of our minds. We left well paying jobs, trusting that the God who called us would be faithful to provide for us. We had this confidence that we were called, and so despite the accusations, we went. We are so grateful we did.
Stepping out in faith, like Paul did, makes people question us. In Paul’s case it led to extreme persecution and imprisonment. We might not face the same extreme consequences, but fully following Jesus will often lead to the question of “what are you thinking?”
Paul’s answer was one declaring that he was being faithful to Jesus. No matter what would come, he would continue to follow. God continued to be faithful to Paul.
God is faithful to us as well. As we step out in faith, as we follow where God leads, we will find that God is faithful in ways we never expected. The road may not be easy, it wasn’t for Paul, yet we will still see the faithfulness of God.
