Remember: Others Also Have God’s Image

1 Timothy 4:1-6
When Paul told Timothy, “For everything God created is good,” it would have been a reminder of the creation poem found in Genesis 1, where God created everything and called it good. God created humans and called us very good.
All people are created in the image of God. All people are sacred. All people have the fingerprint of God on their lives.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We have all sinned, but sin doesn’t destroy the image of God in us. The image is still there in all of us.
Picture looking in a mirror expecting to see your image, but the mirror is fogged up. Your image is distorted. That is exactly what sin does, it keeps the image of God from being seen clearly. The image of God, however, is still there.
Remember that all of creation bears God’s image. It might be cloudy, but His image is still there. If you look hard enough, you will see God in every person.
