Our world howls at us from all angles: political, social, financial, international extremism, and inner personal conflict. We don’t have control over segments of the chaos, but there are parts over which we do have control. Those fragments are what we are responsible for in life.
How we approach a sensitive situation. Words we can speak that calms the actions of others and ourselves. Knowing something and yet not repeating it to anyone. Experiencing the loving warmth of Christ brings a peace that the chaotic world cannot understand, but we do.
D. L. Moody once stated that as a child he would race with his shadow and wondered why the shadow always won. One day he was running with his face toward the sunlight and glanced back and saw his shadow coming behind him and he won. To keep winning the war against chaos and confusion in life we must always face the Son of God!
