A Transformational Story

Mark 4:1-9
I love storytelling. A good story can evoke passion, tears, hope, joy, or expectation, possibly all at the same time. I get so excited to see the waiting in other’s eyes as they hang on every word.
For me, the stories I love best are the ones that are true. I cry every time I hear a story about someone in the military returning home or anything with animals. Our heart strings are not only plucked, but something inside us changes with each story we hear. We learn, we grow, we transform.
Jesus knew the power behind a good story. He was fully aware that His creation learns best when they can apply kingdom principles to everyday life. Our scriptures hold 46 different parables. They teach us about the realities of love, faith, grace, eternity, prayer, finances, and more. When we read and understand the stories of Jesus, we become more like Him. We become more like people of the kingdom of God.

This devotional listing (at the time of this comment) shows a scripture reading of Mark 24:1-9. In my Bible, Mark has only 16 chapters. Very confusing.

No chapter 24. Went ahead and read Mark 2:1-12. Seems where we left off.

Ok. Got it. One of my favorite parables.
