Humanity has many ways it utilizes to stay on track. Some people are list makers, others GPS users. Cooks have recipes and architects have blueprints. Whatever the task, there’s probably an app, a bestselling book, or an expert made especially for the occasion.
Fortunately, you and I haven’t been left to figure out life on our own. The infallible Word of God is a Christian’s ultimate how-to resource. It’s crucial that we don’t forget something so important. We can’t let common knowledge collect mental dust. In order to stay on the holy and righteous path our Creator has laid out for us, we have to constantly review the user’s manual.
A cook might memorize recipes, a driver of frequented routes might automatically turn on the correct road, and a photographic mind might negate the need for a physical list, but Christ followers should never stop consulting God’s Word. Abiding in it guarantees we’ll always be on the right track.
