Isaiah 43:22-28

Have you ever received something totally unearned, undeserved? Gifts work that way. We give gifts as a sign of gratitude, love, affection, care. A true gift isn’t earned and isn’t given with the expectation for a similar-in-value item in return. A gift is free.

Thank God for His unending grace and love. Because God is love, He can freely give us grace and mercy, without us earning it. The Israelites failed at honoring God. They failed to remain faithful to God. And yet, God still declared that He will be the one, “who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more” (v. 25). Despite what we have or have not done, God still loves us and gives us grace. We can’t earn it. God gives it regardless because He is God.

We can be transformed to be conduits of this grace. How can you allow God to gift you with grace that changes your life and the lives of those around you?
