Acts 2:1-13

Mark studied Spanish in high school. Despite the time that has passed between his Spanish classes and now, he still strikes up conversations with Spanish speakers whenever he can.

During these conversations, usually the person will look at his wife Stefanie and say something in Spanish. Unfortunately, her high school German lessons don’t help. The conversation doesn’t translate into something she can participate in or understand.

Thankfully, the kingdom of God isn’t like her experience; God communicates His grace and love in ways we all can hear and understand. At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit enabled the believers to share the gospel in a multitude of languages—allowing those around them to hear the good news in their own language!

All of this was possible because the followers of Christ were willing to be, go, and do as the Holy Spirit prompted them. God is willing to reach all who have not heard, and He wants us to be a part of that effort. How are you willing to be a part of God’s work today?
