Psalm 105:1-11, 42-45

I love stories. In my library are several story books. We think stories are for children. They are used to put children to sleep, keep them occupied, teach them to read, and even teach life lessons. Yet, we all need stories. They remind us of important lessons and events of the past. Stories help us connect with each other. Stories can be testimonies of God’s grace and work in our lives.

Psalm 105 is all about remembering. The Israelites should remember the true stories of the wonders, miracles, and judgments of God. They should not forget His powerful deliverance from Egypt. They are called to tell others about God and His works. “Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts” (vv. 1-2).

God will remember also. “He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations” (v. 8). His story will go on forever. Tell the stories of God’s faithfulness in your life.

    God’s Faithfulness has delivered me.

Luke 1:71-That we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us.

Psalm 18:2 – The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Thank you God for our deliverance.
