Hosea 2:14-23

Hosea is one of the 12 minor prophets. They are called the Minor Prophets because their writings are shorter than the Major Prophets (like Isaiah or Jeremiah). Hosea deals with the backslidings of Israel. God spoke to the nation through the sad consequence of Hosea’s marriage to Gomer; a complex and disturbing period of his life. God desired repentance. This was the context of Hosea’s prophetic ministry to the nation for that particular time. He became a vibrant preacher and God used him to help turn the nation around.

The faithfulness of God is beyond comparison. He is merciful to forgive all to come to Him in genuine repentance. In Christ there is new hope to commence a new journey of faith.

A married couple came to the altar one Sunday alongside other seekers. Their lives were fractured. Faithfully, the Holy Spirit moved upon them. They repented and signaled a new start. The miracle of restoration was complete and announced at a renewal of their wedding vows. It was a complete victory in Jesus.
