Blessed Are The Meek

Job 40:1-14
Why did Peter always wear mint flavored sandals? Correct. Because he was always putting his foot in his mouth! Speaking without information does not make us look wise. How do we act when we are caught in our own conceit? Job knew that he could outreason, outthink, or outtalk God. Awareness of God must cause us to approach him with reverence and fear. A spirit of meekness is an invitation for the Almighty to come to our assistance in our time of need.
Paul highlights the supremacy of God’s wisdom, “Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? . . . For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength” (1 Cor. 1:20b, 25).
We all need a confrontation with the all-wise God. This will allow us to take a sober and realistic look at ourselves and repent for attitudes of self-sufficiency and self-supremacy. “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble” (James 4:6).

“A spirit of meekness is an invitation for the Almighty to come to our assistance in our time of need.”
In Matthew 5:5 the meek will inherit the earch. I assume that is due to the fact they that are submissive (humbly obedient) to the Holy Spirit.
Is that now, or in the future, or both?
