Rejoice, Again I Say, Rejoice!

Sadly, most do not know how many “good things” they have in comparison to the rest of the world’s population, particularly the “third world.”
As missionaries for a number of years, David cannot take a shower or a bath with hot water without praising God for what many call the ordinary blessings of life!
After one major devastating hurricane in the Caribbean, they were without electricity and water for three months, so to do the simple things today is always a major blessing. Deuteronomy 26:11 reminds not just the children of Israel, but all humanity to “rejoice in all the good things your God has given you and your household”.
If we do this as leaders of the household, it will be contagious for all. But we must truly remember that “every good and perfect gift is from above”.
God gives good gifts daily, and our thanksgiving and rejoicing should also be daily. Yet, it does even change our earthly outlook!

I praise God for everthing in my life good and bad. If life were a bed of roses without thorns I wouldn’t learn very much.
