It’s rare for someone to suffer jail time for a myth or a hunch, like Peter and John. They had been with Jesus in life, death, and resurrection. They knew for sure Jesus was God come in the flesh.
Everyday the lame man sat at a religious place surrounded by religious people who obviously prayed many prayers, however, he had never been healed through them. At the name of Jesus, he is healed instantly.
Recently, a Vietnamese pastor spent part of more than 40 weeks in jail. Most Sundays, he preaches, authorities arrive, arrest and jail him. Upon release, he is given an official document recording his arrest. In Vietnam, a church can only be registered after 15 years of operation. The pastor has been saving the arrest documents because they prove the 15 years. He preaches, “Salvation is found in no one else” but Christ.
