Was Prayer Answered?

June 13th, 2010

Have you ever prayed and not been answered? Paul asked Romans to pray for three things: that he be rescued from unbelievers in Judea; that his service to Jerusalem saints would be accepted; and that by God’s will, he could come to them with joy.

Part one of his prayer was not answered. As a matter of fact, the Jewish unbelievers were responsible for his beating, trial, and military escort to Rome. However, Paul’s part one no answer became the means of the part three answer.

Paul said, “The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us”. During tough times, God spoke to Paul.

Under house arrest, all palace guards came to know about Christ. Paul couldn’t get away from his guards, but his guards couldn’t get away from him.

God spoke to Paul. His big mission was fulfilled.
