God Inhabits Our Praise

Psalm 89:1-8
Praising God is so important! Why? It helps us to understand our role in God’s order of the universe. God is God, and we are not.
Take notice of how David frames his song. He sees God’s faithfulness not only in acts toward himself but how God interacts with all of creation.
Later in the 89th Psalm, David questions God and expresses feelings of abandonment. However, those feelings are not permitted to fester. David recognized God’s faithfulness and it is because of God’s faithfulness, that David can go to God with his complaint.
You might be fearful of sharing with God your darkest, most intimate feelings. However, because God is faithful, we can trust that His love is steadfast, His mercies are new every morning, and His faithfulness to us will endure throughout our lives and the lives of future generations. Even when we are inconsistent, God remains constant in His love and faithfulness!
