God Is With Us

Genesis 39:20b—40:8
God is with us all the time—the good times and especially the hard times. The poem, “Footprints in the Sand”* often is referred to when discussing God’s presence during tough times. God carries us through the most difficult times. There are also many biblical stories of how God is with His people in difficult times: Daniel, David, Noah, Moses are just a few examples. Later Jesus is with His disciples during many of their difficult times.
During our lowest time, God is holding on to us closely, just as a parent does with their hurting child. Physical injury is typically easy to see and easier to comfort, but emotional and spiritual pain can be harder for us to recognize and support. God always sees us just as we are and knows how to provide for us. This support might be through someone else, a friend or pastor, or it might be providing for the physical needs that we have. Ask the Lord and He will remind you that He is always with you.
