El camino hacia la paz
Marzo 26th, 2026
1 Timothy 2:1-6.
One of my favorite verses in the Scriptures has been Isaiah 26:3. I memorized it in the KJV as a youth: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: Because he trusteth in thee.”
Peacemaking is our work. Obviously, our times are no more troubled than perhaps any other era in history. Around-the-clock news, social media, and instantaneous access tends to exaggerate every situation. In truth, peace, from the inner sanctum of the individual to the halls of power, is sometimes in short supply.
The quiet life is not an unemployed life. Jesus calls us to be agents of seasoning and illumination for all whom we meet. Our words, actions, and attitudes can be instruments for peace. Where are you most needed today? To whom or what situation could you speak the words of peace today?
Prayer is your secret weapon in being a peacemaker. It is also the key to discovering the quiet life, insulated (not isolated) from the abrasion of existence. Prayer may be defined as keeping your mind focused on Jesus. Peace is found in trusting all outcomes to the will and purpose of the Master.
