Mantén la fe en Cristo

2 Timothy 4:1-8.

Never will I forget my ordination day in Kearney, Nebraska. After reading the challenges of verse 2, General Superintendent Eugene L. Stowe placed his hands on my head and ordained me an elder in the Church of the Nazarene. For almost four-and-a-half decades, I continued to “preach the word, do the work of an evangelist,” and on and on. Most importantly, I have tried my very best to “keep the faith,” to live a life that’s totally sold out to Jesus.

Over time, a person’s life may undergo changes. You may or may not go to school. You may stay with the same job or move to other positions. Even in ministry, we may go from pastoring to being a missionary or into evangelism. There’s nothing wrong with any of that. There is, however, one thing that should be the same for each of us: our faith in the Lord Jesus.

When we come to our last moments in this life, we want to be able to honestly say with the apostle Paul, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Are you keeping the faith?
