Que tous loueront Dieu

2 Corinthians 9:6-15.
Many times in conferences and meetings on evangelism and outreach, leaders debate the best ways to invite others to know Christ and to make Him known. In a very real sense, this kind of discussion does not deal as much with missions as it does with worship. John Piper has famously said, “Missions exists because worship doesn’t.” The missional question always must be: How must we live so that the world will worship God?
Others will praise God:
- Because of our service. Sacrificially serving our neighbor(s) will have more lasting impact than merely declaring verbally what we stand for.
- Noting our obedience. “Faith in Christ always results in good works. Obedience to God is the mark of true saving faith” (Ibrahim Emile).
- Hearing our confession. Verbalizing to others what God has done draws those around us into worship.
- Touched by our generosity. Giving of money and possessions and also exhibiting a charitable, unselfish spirit allow God to lavish His grace—through us—on those who do not know Him.
Four glimpses into mission and worship. How will you serve, obey, confess, and offer generosity this week, so that all may praise our wonderful God?
