Heirs

Galatians 4:1-7         

For many of us, royalty does not impact our nation or even daily lives. We have no connection, whether politically, socially, or individually with royalty. Despite this truth, that does not stop some of us from being interested in the line of royalty, for one reason or another.

Whatever the draw might be in paying attention to royal families, one thing is certain, if you do follow such information, you are likely to know who is the next heir to the throne. Succession to the throne is vital in royal families. Based on traditions and laws, the next king or queen is determined as each new member of the family is added.

We, like members of royal families, are also heirs to the kingdom of God. We are the sons and daughters of God! We are no longer slaves to sin and death, but royal heirs to God’s grace and life. As children of God, we are also heirs of God. No longer do we struggle under the burden of death, but live victoriously through God’s love.
