The Path of Redemption
December 11th, 2024
Isaiah 35:1-4
In Isaiah 35, we see that God’s people were steeped in despair—weak, weary, and fearful. Despite their sin, God had not forgotten them in exile. His plan was one for redemption.
A great example is a man named Adam. He was raised in church and had found salvation as a child. However, he walked away from God. Anger, depression, drugs, and fighting became a regular part of his life. His downward spiral continued for years as he had children and tried to find something better.
Most of the people in his life had decided that he was a lost cause. He had lost all hope. God, on the other hand, had other plans. Adam’s mother returned to church and took his children with her; the church gathered and began to pray for Adam and his family. One year later, Adam came to church and there he found redemption! Adam and his entire family were baptized; today he serves as a pastor.
Redemption is the beautiful plan of God. It takes the life that is parched and fills it with the water of life. Return to God; He will redeem and restore your life in a way that you cannot imagine.
