Persistently Good
October 31st, 2024
Romans 2:1-8
In recent years, you may have heard about the psychological phenomenon of “projection,” where a person unconsciously takes the unwanted emotions or traits the person doesn’t like about themselves and attributes them to someone else. Paul tells us that when we do that, we condemn ourselves, because we are judging others for doing the same thing that we are doing (v. 1).
God, however, doesn’t project. Instead, He judges based on the truth. God will give eternal life to those who persist in doing good (v. 7).
George Müller, an evangelist and orphanage director, began praying daily for the conversion of five people in November 1844. Eighteen months passed before the first was converted. Five years passed, and the second was converted. Six years passed, and the third was converted. The final two weren’t converted until 1898, 54 years after Müller had begun praying for their conversions, and these final two conversions happened after Müller’s death.
Will you persist?

I cannot believe that today 31 Oct nothing was said in today’s devotional about the Day of the Reformation, a world shaking event! Unbelievable!
Our society is all about Halloween which is a celebration of the occult, evil and out of hell.
