Gloriously Transformed

2 Corinthians 3:9-18
The new law is love and it isn’t easy. Here’s some good news: Because of the new law, we can see and reflect the one true God. As we do, we will shine bright with a glow that will not fade. Unlike the glow from Moses (the old law) that faded, our shining glory will not fade. This new covenant means as we look to Jesus, live like Jesus, and love like Jesus, the power of the Holy Spirit transforms us from glory to glory.
Paul doesn’t know it, but he is speaking our language in 2 Corinthians 3! What Paul is describing with his language in verse 18 is sanctification. The power of the Holy Spirit transforms us into the glorious glowing image of God as we work to see and reflect Jesus.
If you find yourself yearning for mountaintop experiences of yesterday or maybe even tomorrow, take hope. You need not look to the past or to the future. Want a mountaintop experience? Love like Jesus! That’s what mountaintop experiences are all about.
