The Highest Thought

Ezekiel 36:33-38
A dear friend once asked me an interesting question: What is the greatest thought? His answer was, “we’ve landed on the moon.” Since we’ve done that, he reasoned, there’s virtually nothing we can’t do, no problem we can’t solve.
As I pondered his question, my initial response was about God’s love; then I settled on “God redeems.” That’s good news!
Ezekiel 36 is about redemption and restoration. Only God can do the kind of work described: resettled, rebuilt, flourishing, fortified, inhabited, replanted, and growing. God alone can transform a heart, a life.
Is there a place in your life that’s been destroyed, broken, or neglected? What relationship needs the kind of restoration only God can build? What lies is the enemy using to break you; what truth does God want to speak to you today?
No matter the brokenness, desolation, or devastation you have suffered, God is still in the business of restoration and redemption.
