Culture Changers

Ephesians 4:25-32
We live in a time in history when the newest theme is “be true to yourself.” Unfortunately, one outflow of this philosophy is a “freedom” to say whatever is on one’s mind. Social media is rampant with sarcasm, insults, and plain old nastiness. Cruelty might describe this way of interacting with others.
For our youth struggling with their identity and value, this cruelty can be crushing. As the church, we seek to build others up, creating a counter-balance to the darkness out there. Jesus encouraged us to care about our neighbors as much as we ought to care for ourselves. One problem is that some don’t care about themselves. Do not be one of those people.
Our perspectives are changed forever when we let God’s love into our lives. Stay humble, but do not put down God’s creation of you! You are one of a kind, and God created you in His image. Step into His holiness through the Holy Spirit to transform your talk and your encouragement of others. You can change culture!
