God Desires Everyone to Know Him

2 Peter 3:1-9
Traveling for many hours, arriving to see family and friends waiting brings such comfort. God also stands waiting, anticipating the moment He is recognized for who He is.
God wants everyone to come into His presence and know Him. Sinful disobedience blurs the vision of those seeking for God. It keeps us from God, making it difficult to recognize His presence, to see and hear Him clearly. The promise of God to save those who repent is matched by the reality of judgment upon the unrepentant. It’s a harsh reality, but still true.
The good news is that God remains patient. God is long-suffering, waiting in anticipation for His creation to recognize Him. Wanting His people to see the mighty works of His hands, which are reaching out to pull sinners from the destructive water of judgment.
There is no obstacle keeping us from God that Jesus hasn’t overcome. Reach out and see who God really is, and He will welcome you home.
