Our Response to God’s Activity

1 Peter 1:17-25
Your value and worth are immeasurable. As the people of God, we have an understanding that our creator God is working in all things. This means that God is continuously redeeming all of creation—including you!
This means good things. Your life has a purpose, a good purpose! The creator of the world cares deeply for you and every detail about your life. Our faith and hope is in Christ, and He is trustworthy! But our relationship, and even our faith and hope is not just for our benefit: it is for the benefit of all of creation.
Our response to this radical grace and redemption that Christ brings in our life is only to give it away. I think this is why in 1 Peter it says to “love one another deeply, from the heart” (v. 22b). God has acted, and now is the time for our response. That is always the cycle of God’s work. God acts first. God has called us, sacrificed for us, and loved us. We respond.
