Psalm 42:5-11
We put our hope in a lot of things don’t we? Think about all of the things you hoped would work correctly today. Perhaps a car, electricity, a bridge, tools, the list could go on and on. Often we don’t think about the things we put our hope or trust in because we remember that they have worked correctly before. I don’t think about the building process of a bridge every time I cross over one, instead I just remember that every bridge I have ever crossed over has worked, as it should.
In Psalm 42 we are reminded to remember that we are to put our hope in God. We experience several different things in our life that fail us, but God never does. God is faithful and God continually calls us to Him so that we can experience God’s goodness. God gifts us those experiences so that when the things of this life fail us, we can always remember to put our hope in God. God never fails us.
Today, remember to put your hope in God. Remember when God has been faithful and you have experienced God’s goodness.
