Sharing God’s Grace
September 11th, 2021
2 Corinthians 5:11-21
Reconciliation is a word that is often talked about in South Africa. Looking back on the country’s difficult past and trying to make a new way forward, Nelson Mandela sought to bring reconciliation among his fellow South Africans. Mandela wanted to bring the people of the country together, learn from the past, and to find a new way forward. His commitment to this idea cost him many things personally, but he was committed to the idea of a better South Africa.
God is trying to do the same things in us. God wants us to come together with Him. God is rebuilding us, not allowing the sins of the past to weigh us down. God is forming a new, better relationship with Him. He calls this grace.
He wants us to share grace with others. Grace is not from us; we don’t have grace without God. God gives us grace and we are to share it with the world, especially those whom we are in relationship with: our neighbors.
