Boundaries: For Your Protection
September 8th, 2021
Genesis 3:17-24
There are so many things in our lives that are there for our protection. Some of them are in travel: seat belts, airbags, and antilock brakes. When we are moving, we are more vulnerable to injury, harm, and danger. These safety items give us protection and a sense of security.
What about the rest of our lives? How do we move about from day-to-day engaged in so many different activities, trying to avoid pitfalls? The Word of God gives us many boundaries for our daily lives to protect us and help us stay out of harm. Sometimes these feel like limits that are slowing us down. When we take a step back and see how God our Father wants to lovingly protect us, we can better understand the importance of boundaries.
God’s Word guides us daily in our walk in order to protect us. We should read these words not as limitations, but as opportunities for God to use us and keep us in His loving arms. Let us keep moving with all the protection that God provides.
