It’s All About Jesus

Romans 15:14-22
Over the years I have watched one witnessing program after another flow and ebb through the church. Many tools to advance the cause of Christ have been effectively used, but all the programming, tools, classes, and seminars then and now must do one thing: focus on Jesus. Nothing trumps relationship and that is the key to witnessing. People need to know we care about them.
Paul, writing to the church at Rome, states, “I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished” (v. 18). When it comes to sharing Jesus, here are some quick bullet points:
Be bold in proclaiming Jesus. This isn’t about us, but about Jesus and His love.
Be full of grace and humility because we were once in their spot in life. Somebody cared enough to help me see Jesus.
The Holy Spirit convicts people of their sin, not you or me.
God transforms lives.
The reason we witness is for others to know Jesus.
