Victory Rests With God

Proverbs 21:21-31
There are “ends” in everything—The end of a school year, the end of the week, the end of our lives. That’s a reminder that when all of this passes away, whether that be the end of our individual earthly life or the end of time, the victory is not in question. I think that truth grows more powerful with age and experience, and even loss. As bodies weaken, as the experience of loss grows and deepens, so too grows the realization that we are not the authors of our final destiny. God and only God holds the pen for the final chapters and every chapter.
We can choose to live into the hope and the security of this promise: God fights for us and God has already won the victory for us. It is God’s might, not our own that we must depend upon.
What battles are you fighting today? Are you ready to let God fight for you? Are you ready and are you willing to let God lead and direct how you proceed? There is no other way to life than through Jesus.
