Galatians 3:23-29

Our family likes to play board games. We enjoy playing games together with friends and other families. Some games are simple to learn; others take much longer. I have a mandate that if it takes over 30 minutes to explain the rules and start playing, then it is probably not a game for me. After 30 minutes my brain starts to turn off and I am ready to just play the game or move on to something else.

Before Christ came to fulfill the law, the people of God had to learn the law—write it on their hearts. They had to guard the law and learn it by memory because they didn’t have a Bible app on their phone to refer to. They didn’t even have a Bible to refer to.

Since Christ came to fulfill the law and the prophets, we now can have a relationship with God. We no longer have to go through a priest or make a sacrifice. We can go directly to God anytime.

Thank you, God, for allowing us to come directly to you and for fulfilling the law through your Son Jesus Christ.
