Act on your Confession

Acts 19:11-20
In the book of Acts, God gives us a perspective and a hope for the community that is the body of Christ on earth. Those days of the early church must have been a heady mixture of fear, anticipation, and joy mixed with the complexity of cultural backgrounds and expectations; thrown into the center of it all, miracles.
One must assume that at some level, those early Christians were unable to process all that was happening, but certainly, the Holy Spirit was leading them into understanding and revelation.
Confess what you know to be sin as the Holy Spirit reveals it to you. Ask Him to search your heart and to help you submit wholly and completely to His presence within you. Sometimes, the Holy Spirit leads us to confess to and ask forgiveness from those whom we have wronged. If you are feeling led toward public confession, it would be wise to seek counsel from your pastor or a spiritually mature friend first. They can help guide you through the process and pray for you as you take these vulnerable steps.
