Luke 20:45—21:4
Have you ever stopped to think about the number of choices you make in an average day? While the majority of decisions are unconscious and come naturally, others require varying degrees of time-consuming thought.
There is one decision each and every one of us must make on a daily basis: the decision to place our trust in God the Father. The enemy sees each new day as an opportunity get us to change our minds about who we will serve. It doesn’t make any difference whether you’re a new believer or a seasoned saint, the Bible says that each of us must daily take up our cross and follow Him.
Psalm 84 is a great example of daily choosing God. The psalmist writes, “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked” (v. 10). The writer has chosen to spend his day serving the Father.
Have you made the conscious decision to be Christlike today? Consider taking a moment renew your commitment to follow Him.
