Mind Blown

Acts 26:12-23

My teenage daughter and I were eating at a local breakfast restaurant chain that’s name is an anagram. As we were talking, the subject of the name of the restaurant came up and the idea that the name is an anagram was new to her. “What does it stand for?” she asked me looking a bit confused. When I told her, she brought her hands above her head and made an exploding sound, and said, “mind blown.” She thought they were two different restaurants; had never connected the two in her head. There was a shift in her understanding of the world of breakfast restaurant chains, and her mind was blown.

When Paul encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus, the Holy Spirit blew his mind. The world as he understood it shifted dramatically. This mind-blowing experience changed the entire course of Paul’s life. He went from being diametrically opposed to Jesus, to being one of His most fervent followers.

When God’s Holy Spirit speaks into our lives, it is mind blowing and life changing. How has your mind been blown by God lately?
