Love Is Sacrificial

John 3:11-21
“I’ve been waiting all my life for someone to tell me this,” 80-year-old veteran Skip said. We had just presented the gospel to him around his kitchen table. Although he had been to various churches throughout his life, he had never heard the gospel presented. For the first time, he understood what Jesus sacrifice on the cross meant for his life, and the love of God filled his heart. Skip asked Jesus to be his Lord and Savior that night; his life was never the same again.
The greatest story ever told never grows old. It brings new life to people every day. But who will tell them? Most people let fear get in the way of sharing their faith in Jesus. Yet imagine if someone had a disease and you were the only one with the cure, would you give it to them? There is joy in the life-giving, cleaning, redeeming work of Jesus and in seeing a sinner repent and find eternal life!
Pray for a person you know who needs Jesus now. Ask God to give you the courage to tell her or him about Jesus!
